Pride in Education is one of the largest LGBTIQA+ global inclusion conference in education.
Established in June 2020 to respond to the British Government cuts in anti HBT (Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic) bullying to equip education practitioners with the practical tools they need to provide an inclusive and celebratory space for everyone working in education, from primary/ elementary school to University.
Pride in Education has rapidly established itself as the one-stop shop for practical tips and resources for everyone interested being more inclusive of diverse sexual orientation, gender identities and expressions in education.
It has grown from being a small virtual UK based conference to an international audience attracting delegates and contributors from North and South America, Africa, Australasia and Europe.
The first conference was launched by Sir Derek Jacobi CBE and Bonnie Greer OBE.
Subsequent conferences have gained the support of many prominent global LGBTIQA+ celebrities, including Daniel Lismore and Linda Riley.
With over 80 community partners it has attracted thousands of delegates each time who completed individual and organisational pledges.
The conference runs virtually on Zoom twice a year (June and October).
